Health & Safety

It is the responsibility of everyone on the campsite to take all reasonable care, so as to protect themselves & others from injury or harm. Equipment/tools shall only be used on the site if it is safe to do so. All equipment/tools must be the correct item for the job concerned & must be correctly used & maintained. Power tools/generators of any description, shall not be used by any camper or visitor without consent from one of the wardens. Damaged or faulty items should be removed from service until repaired. Electrical equipment shall not be brought onto the campsite without the permission of a camp warden & must be in good working order. Equipment requiring a certificate, permit or license etc. must only be used by a suitably qualified person. This policy applies to all equipment on the campsite regardless of ownership & includes all persons whether staff or visitors. It is the responsibility of all campers & visitors to report as soon as possible, to a member of the campsite staff, anything that they consider to be a threat to the health & safety of anyone on the site.

Environmental

It is the responsibility of everyone on the campsite to take all reasonable care, so as to protect & preserve the natural surroundings & wildlife in & around the campsite. All litter shall be placed in a proper bin or taken off site for disposal. Campers & visitors must not carry out any action that could in any way harm the natural flora & fauna of this campsite. Wood containing any form of paint, treatment, glue or other man-made substance must not be burnt on this campsite. It is the responsibility of all campers & visitors to report as soon as possible, to a member of the campsite staff, anything that they consider to be a threat to the environment. No animals are to be trapped, caught or chased on the campsite.

Security

The campsite & its staff will not be held liable for any damage to, or loss of, property on the site. All campers & visitors are advised to lock all valuables away securely. The staff will take all reasonable care to ensure that everyone on this site is here for a legitimate reason. It is the responsibility of all campers & visitors to report as soon as possible, to a member of the campsite staff, anything that they consider to be a threat to security. The campsite reserve the right to evict or to refuse admission to anyone they so wish, without giving any reason. Anyone caught climbing or damaging the perimeter fence may be asked to leave the site.

Safeguarding

All persons on this campsite are asked to read & comply with the Scout Associations ‘Young People First’ Safeguarding Policy. It is the responsibility of all campers & visitors to report as soon as possible, to a member of the campsite staff, anything that they consider to be a breach of the safeguarding policy.
